website

Home Page For "azaleah"'s website, I firstly created my own font (capital handwriting), which is also shown in my music video. I wanted the main home page to enforce the artist's aesthetic and is very simplistic as this is the first impression it has on a viewer. There is a professional-looking photo of the artist to cover the majority of the screen, the name of the artist - along with a small description, an annoucement of the release of the artist's new EP and  links to the artist's social media.  The next section of the website shows a one minute video of an upcoming single. I purposely chose for this to take up all the space of the page when you scroll as it is an important update to the artist's website. The music video shows a the beginning of a music video, the lyrics are revealed throughout it in a stylistic way. The background colours of the strip continue to reinforce "azaleah"'s brand. The next space is shared between the artist

website planning

Brief: home page (appearance of a whole website, tour, dead links, linked page (merch) audio/audio visual at least two original images brand identity text introducing the band or artist (maintain mode of address, pull quotes) wide range of appropriate media language codes and conventions intended audience representations (portrayal of events, issues, individuals and social groups) Key for producing a good websit e: Should be up to date and actively promoting the artist's latest release/news Not be too text heavy... it is an entertainment website Have a clear 'house style' which corresponds with videos, albums covers, etc. It should feel as if it is all part of the same package Have fast links to the points of sale Easy navigation to internal links, outside sites and social media platforms

album cover

Image
For my album cover, I want to take inspiration from these artists as I want to replicate the same sense of nostalgia these bring by using childhood photos. I believe this technique creates a connection with their audience as it is a more personal and vulnerable way of revealing who the artist themselves are. This will be perfect for my artist has they are up-coming and still want to show to their audience that they are the one controlling music and career, as by they have just signed to Universal Music and have recently been taken over by management. The audience for my fictional artist are likely to use steaming platforms (such as: Spotify) to listen to their music as they will be a younger demographic.
